  • Louisville Middle School JA in a Day: They are in need of any retired teachers would be interested in volunteering at Louisville Elementary this spring. We have 3 JA in a Day’s- one on May 9th and two on May 16th.     Dates and Details:
    📍 May 9th – Louisville Elementary, full day event, 3rd grade, 6 volunteers needed
    📍 May 16th – Louisville Elementary, full day event, 4th and 5th grade, 8 volunteers needed
     
    Curriculum: Volunteers will be assigned one or two sessions to teach, moving classroom to classroom.
    3rd: JA Our City | Junior Achievement of North Central Ohio
    4th: JA Our Region | Junior Achievement of North Central Ohio
    5th grade: JA Our Nation | Junior Achievement of North Central Ohio
     
    Training Dates: 
    Friday, April 25th- 4pm (Virtual)
    Monday, April 28th- 8am (Virtual)
 
  • Pathway Caring for Children is looking for volunteers to make weighted blankets & vests for children with sensory disorders. Ideas and instructions are provided. Call Deborah Garrott at 330.818.0416 or email [email protected].
 
  • Stark Parks is recruiting volunteers with boating experience to be pontoon captains at Sippo Lake Park & Walborn Reservoir. Volunteers lead daylight & sunset cruises. Hours are flexible and scheduled from June 1 to September 30. Volunteer applications are online at www.StarkParks.com
 
  • CASA Volunteer: Finding purpose through helping a child from falling through the cracks of life. Court Appointed Special Advocate volunteers are needed to be the voice of a child who is in the court system because of a parent, not himself. This involves one-on-one meetings, at least once a month, with a child from the ages of newborn to teenager. Volunteers must pass a background check, complete 30 hours of training, and have a valid driver’s license. For more information, call Jim Molnar, 330-451-7282.
 
  • Stark County Hunger Task Force needs volunteers to help with the food pantry,
    administrative tasks, & ushering for Palace Theater events. Call Ralph Norton at 330-455-6667.
