A variety of programs are planned with our legislators, STRS, and high school
choirs, etc.
Collections are taken at each chapter meeting. Currently we are contributing
to: Stark County Hunger Task Force
Chapter members are encouraged to bring food and paper products for the
Salvation Army and eyeglasses for the Lion’s Club.
We have scholarship funds that provide money for Stark County college
Juniors, Seniors, and 5th year Seniors majoring in Education.
Christmas cookies and messages are taken to members in nursing homes and
those who are shut-ins. A memorial service for deceased members is also held
each year.
All retired public educators of Stark County are welcome to become
members and attend our luncheons.
