In 2021, SCRTA awarded scholarships to the following students:
Molly Hudson - Mount Union University

We congratulate these highly deserving students and
wish them well in their chosen professions.
Scholarship & Teacher Project Grant Committees, Rosalie Dolan, Chair
At the last meeting of the Management Board of SCRTA, it was voted to combine the Scholarship
Committee and the Teachers’ Project Grant (TPG) Committee. If you would like to be part of this
important committee, contact Lee Dolan at [email protected].
Do you know a college junior or senior who is an education major? Be sure to tell them about the
SCRTA college scholarships. Letters will go out to colleges, universities, and newspapers in March.
The application will be on our SCRTA web site. May 20, 2022 is the deadline for applications.
Our TPG was put on hold this year due to COVID changes in the schools. We are ready to launch
this venture at the beginning of the 2022-23 school year. It is our hope to be able to offer at least two
or more grants if we receive additional funding. Adequate funding of TPG is our only obstacle.
Although we have combined our committees, the TPG must be funded individually. Our Scholarship
program is set up in a manner that will not permit any of the money to be used for any other project.
You can be part of this exciting endeavor to assist teachers by donating to the TPG Fund. Just enter
your donation amount on the luncheon RSVP form or send a check made out to SCRTA or donate to
the TPG in the gold boxes, which will be on each table at the December luncheon meeting.
