Computer literature Poll Workers needed in Stark County! The Stark County Board of elections encourages registered voters to become involved in the election process by applying to serve as a Precinct Election Official (PEO), formerly known as a "poll worker." Precinct Election Officials (PEO) serve on the front line of democracy and are paid for their service. With the onset of "e-pollbooks" for voter sign-in, the Board of Elections is especially interested in recruiting PEOs who are comfortable using a laptop computer. Poll workers are compensated at a rate of $101.50 - $121.50 for Election Day. Additionally, new poll workers receive paid training. Poll workers must have transportation, and be available on Election Day from 5:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Upcoming election dates are March 15 and November 8, 2016. Apply online at:
