GED Teachers Needed
Hello retirees! Do you want to make a little money and make a difference teaching adult students who really want to learn? The CCSD GED program is looking for a morning teacher and an evening teacher (or one teacher could take both jobs) to teach GED Language Arts, Social Studies, and Science. Certification or advanced knowledge in these areas is not needed. We have a partially developed curriculum and lots of materials. Each class session is 7 weeks long and then we take a week or 2 break and then repeat the classes so planning and preparation are minimal once you’ve been through the class session once or twice. Adult students are great to work with and we don’t have all the requirements that the K-12 system has so teaching is actually rewarding! Pay is $20.50 an hour.
Morning Job is 8:15 – 11:00 am
Monday – Thursday plus 2 hours planning weekly. You are paid for 13 hours weekly but your actual teaching is GED Language Arts 8:45 – 9:45 and Science or Social Studies (we alternate teaching one of these each 7 week session) 10:00 – 11:00.
